Mindfulness & Compassion

‘May you be well, may you be happy, may you live with ease’

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of becoming aware of what is happening in the present moment — in the mind, body, and emotions — with curiosity and compassion.

In busy daily life, it’s easy to get caught up in stress, overthinking, or constantly moving on to the next task. Mindfulness helps us slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and notice the moments we might otherwise miss.

Through mindful awareness, we can better understand our thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses, helping us become less reactive, more resilient, and more grounded. A trauma-informed approach can also support greater self-understanding, safety, and self-compassion.

At the heart of mindfulness is kindness towards ourselves and others. By learning to meet our experience with awareness and care, we create more choice, balance, and connection in everyday life.

Personalised Mindfulness Meditation Training

As well as being a teacher with Tenterden Mindfulness Charity, I offer bespoke mindfulness on a one-to-one basis. In this setting you would have the opportunity to develop mindfulness & compassion focused skills tailored to help facilitate insight around issues that are most important in your life at this time. At the heart of my approach lies a passionate belief that although we all experience distress in our lives, we have the potential to heal, grow and find enriching, creative and satisfying lives. I welcome people who have already completed mindfulness courses or are new to mindfulness.

“I wholeheartedly recommend Nina as an excellent facilitator for Mindfulness courses. I attended the MBLC and found Nina's facilitation skills, knowledge and empathy are just first class. She nurtured a supportive environment in the group that encouraged deep learning and insight. Since the course I am now practicing mindfulness daily and it has so very many benefits. Thank you Nina!”
